Teen Adventure and Leadership takes our older campers and provides them with a week-long leadership experience that encompasses fun, adventure, stewardship, and community. The week includes a trip to Ohio University's BRAND NEW High Ropes Course for challenge by choice elements and on the ground team building! We will end our week together with a camp out on Thursday night!
This camp is no longer for CITs only; if your camper is interested in becoming a CIT, please contact [email protected] to discuss our updated Application process for Counselors-in-Training! We have reinstated this process so we can serve all of our campers, including CITs, to the best of our ability!
Once you complete registration for Teen Leadership and Adventure, and send me an email, I will reply with a CIT description page and link to the application form. Throughout the Teen Adventure week, we will observe applicants in action, and make our final decisions by Saturday, June 7th. :)

We'll also enjoy the giant slip 'n slide, swim in the pond and take a special trip to the Nelsonville Pool!
*Please note: Although this trip has historically gone to Lake Snowden, they are no longer providing the inflatable features or lifeguards. It is because of these unfortunate circumstances that we are going to the pool again this year. But, don't worry, the children had a BLAST last year, and will surely do the same this year as well :)

Exciting things are happening at RAW Camp this year!
Thanks to a recent purchase made by Rising Appalachia Founder Weston Lombard, a USFS Grant we received last year, and a generous donation made by the Circle of the Child Conservation League (CCL) in December....
We now have access to an additional 40 acres of forest to play in!
Some exciting features include:
We will be spending A LOT more time in the woods this summer and can't wait to explore the Forest with our campers!
If you have remaining ACE funds from 2024, you may use them at RAW Camp! However, we are no longer in their database (it's a long, complicated, ridiculous story!). ACE requires that you pay up front and select to be reimbursed, adding our information manually to their website, along with a receipt. We apologize for any inconvenience; this is out of our control.
If you are paying by cash or check, be sure to select "Pay in Full" at time of check out
Please contact Rising Appalachia if you have any questions.
